The Grill talks about The Church of Global Warming and about the concept of hell (as a human reality) i.e drinking water running out.
This video installation was for the exhibition Second Nature held at Truro Cathedral in 2007.
A flat screen monitor was installed under a floor heating grate for the three week duration of the exhibition.
Lit fuses were filmed falling down a Cornish mine shaft. The positioning of the video under a heating grate in the Cathedral (if noticed by the viewer at all), transforms the experience of the building by directing the attention of the visitor downwards into the earth itself, instead of upwards into the spire.
